Tyler Shiffer aka (Phocust) having attended his first EDM show featuring Skrillex and Deadmau5 when he turned 16 years old, Tyler left feeling inspired to make electronic music and shortly after ended up playing his first show at an Electronic Tuesday’s gig at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom.
Following that he headlined his own show at Cervantes’ then later at Larimer Lounge. After taking some time away from the club scene to self reflect, Phocust says that it is his faith that led him to return and share his love for the music and his love for the people in the EDM culture.
His doing a number of single releases on various labels, Phocust is now taking on a new challenge in partnering with some fellow producers to launch Apostle Records; a brand new EDM record label, playing at a number of festivals and clubs such as Beta Nightclub, Space Yacht, Global Dance Festival, Supernatural Festival, Heavenfest (2 years), and more as well as alongside many recognizable artists such as Deadmau5, Illenium, Flux Pavilion, Ray Volpe, Tisoki, Chime, MUST DIE!, Dirt Monkey, and others. Phocust is a key player in today’s electronic music scene, and is definitely one to keep your eyes and ears on.
