Recess is the first studio album by Sonny Moore (Skrillex), released on March 14, 2014, by Big Beat Records, Asylum Records, & Atlantic Records. The album was recorded whilst Skrillex was touring around the world, including countries such as the United States, South Korea, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The album received mixed reviews from critics, though it became his highest charting release to date, peaking at number four on the Billboard 200 and entering the UK Albums Chart at number thirteen.

Before the album was released there was a mobile game called Alien Ride. It was an arcade type game, when beating the arcade you were brought to a count down. When the counter hit zero the first song from the album was available to stream through the app. This continued in regular 30 minute intervals until the entire album was streamable for a limited time via the app.

After Recess was released Skrillex slowed down on releasing so consistently. There would be a 5 year gap when Skrillex would release his next project.
